Prepare
- 4 cups chopped onions
Drop them into
- 6 cups boiling, salted water
Simmer for 10 minutes, drain then add:
- 12 cups bread, torn into small pieces
- 3 apples, chopped
- 3 ribs celery, chopped
- 3 eggs, beaten
- 3/4 cups butter, melted
- 3 tablespoons sage
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon salt
