Maple Orange Cranberry Sauce

  • 1 orange
  • 11/2 cups fresh cranberries
  • 1/2 jalapeno pepper, seeded and minced (or more to taste)
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • pinch salt

Wash orange, remove rind, set aside 3-4 long stands, then chop the rest into small pieces.

Place chopped orange rind in a food processor, then working over top of the mixer, remove the flesh of the orange into the bowl. Discard the pulp and peel.

Add cranberries, jalapeno pepper, maple syrup and salt and blend until fairly smooth.

Let stand for at least 1 hour, then taste. If it’s too sour, add some white sugar, then garnish with 3-4 stands of orange rind and serve.
